Baby Hunter at just a week old.  I know newbies can’t smile on purpose, but I swear this little guy is.

The newborn “style”  is the sleepy baby all curled up in a basket with their eyes closed.  I love that look, and I know that most the time newborn have googly eyes because their muscles have not yet developed, but I like pictures of newborns with their eyes open, and closed.  Especially when we can get them both looking the same direction.

Just notice the sock fuzz on his itty bitty toes.

You may be thinking Hunter looks like a peaceful little guy, but I have a feeling he’s going to be a tough guy someday.  His dad Travis competes in strong man competitions and he’s no little guy.  But, holding Hunter he melted like butter.

I love the hammock shot but a lot of people out there seem to think I just hang the little tike in midair.  Not the case, for you worried mommas out there.  Actually Sarah is holding the bottom of the hammock and Travis is holding the top and his back.  Jon is the backup.  Safety with the newborns is always my first concern.

Don’t forget to notice the little monkey toes.

I love this last shot, and I love that I got to work with such an awesome family.  I feel like I’ve known Sarah forever, I look forward to many more photo sessions.

So sometimes babies do cute things.  Wait I take that back, babies are always doing cute things.  Even their little cries are cute.  I think it’s the only way we are still in existence.  God said ok I know I am about to give you a huge burden, one that most days you’ll wake up wondering how you’ll survive.  But, I’m gonna make it real cute.  And so we have babies.  Because they’re cute.  After looking at this little baby you might decide you need one for yourself, or need another one.

Being a baby is awesome, it’s the only time a double chin looks good!

If you’re thinking this baby looks fat, you’re right at just a few days old this little porker barely fit into my newborn props.  I love a fat baby.  And Axel is no exception.  You remember his mommy  Elizabeth when she had the beautiful belly.  Well look what she was hiding inside.  Axel was an awseome model.  We was awake, he was alert and then he went to sleep.  A perfect shoot for a perfect baby.

Who can resist really?

Nick, Elizabeth, and Axel I am so lucky to know you.  I look forward to capturing your family for years to come.

This is Elijah and he is adorable.  I’ve been taking his pictures since he was itty bitty.  So when his family moved to Chicago I was so sad.  But then Katy his momma called me and told me they were coming into town for his first birthday.  Perfect for pictures.

This picture cracks me up.  He looks like he’s in timeout.  What you don’t see it the 3 silly adults behind the camera juming around trying to get his attention.  I swear kids can be so smart.

But eventually we won, and Elijah gave in.  Check out those awesome eyes and little tiny teeth.  Fabulous!

Aaron, Katy, and Elijah thanks for coming and seeing me during your valuable family time.  I just love taking your pictures!

I know you’ve seen this little model before.  She’s kinda hard to forget!  Little Maven is literally growing up before our very eyes on the blog.  She loves the camera and the camera loves her!  Prepare for uncontrollable ahh’s complete with squenchy eyebrows.

Cute smile complete with tongue and adorable monkey.

Maven gets her happy demeanor and big smile from her mom Lesle.  I love working with Lesle and her husband Matt, always good times.

Her little hands will only be this adorable for a short amount of time.

This picture says princess to me!

She loves looking into the camera which is awesome.  I am really good at getting kids to smile until I go back behind my camera then they give me this look.  Hey where did that lady go?

There she is.  Haha I love it!   There are 90+ pics of beautiful Maven equally as cute.  If you want to see more, just drop me a message.  Lesle and Matt thanks again for letting me take your pictures! I can’t wait to see Maven again in a few months.  She’s just changing so much, I love being the one to capture it.

Baby Nolan

This is baby Nolan with his parents Carrie and Brian!  He is one adorable little guy.  He was so alert during our shoot he was all about having fun!  Looking everywhere including the camera.  We got so many great shots, but here are a few of my favorites.  I love his big laugh.  Brian was actually over my shoulder making a hilarious noise/face at him.  He just couldn’t stop laughing.  This is one of many.  It’s pretty funny what we’ll do to get a good smile.

Ahhhh….

Ahhhh…

And there there are those blue eyes.  Actually there are some cute little teeth in there too, but you can’t see them in this picture.  What a fun baby.  I can’t wait to capture some more of Nolan as he grows in his first year!
